How to turn that log into lumber! We will unload your truck or trailer with our front end loading tractor and place your logs onto our log bed. We’ll roll the logs one at a time from the log bed onto the mill to be processed.  Our mill is a Woodland Mills HM126 with a 12’ long blade only roughly 1/16th of an inch thick and powered by a Koehler 14 hp engine. It has a tank for dripping a cutting solution on the blade just before it enters the wood, to keep it clean and cool.

After the first cut is made we get the first glimpse of the beauty and potential of the lumber inside this log.  From here we have many decisions to make to process the log and make your lumber.  If you already have a project in mind we can cut specific boards (ex. 2x6, 2x4, 4x4, etc.) of how ever many you need.  If not we can tell you how we think we should proceed to get the most out of the rest of the log.

If you like you can drop the logs off and leave, we can mill them and let you know when your lumbers ready for pickup or you can stick around and watch or even help and get involved if you like.  We only ask that if you’d like to get involved that you please wear the PPE we’ll provide for you.
